An important function of this page, intended to house a variety of images of Sukur and its people, is to present archival photographs gleaned from the literature and also from private, unpublished sources. David C. Woolman, a Peace Corps volunteer stationed at Mubi in the mid-1960s, recently contacted us and has generously made available the first set of archival images accompanied by an account of his visit. We hope soon to be able to re-present photographs taken in the 1950s by Antony Kirk-Greene together with a commentary.

We encourage others to submit photographs and other images from the 1980s and before.
